A member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Tolulope Akande-Sadipe has been expelled from the All Progressives Congress (APC) over alleged anti-party activities.
The decision was reached at an enlarged meeting of Oluyole local government, APC, held at Community Primary School, Olomi, Ibadan.
Speaking with journalists after the party’s resolution was read, the party Chairman in Oluyole Local Government, Alhaji Waheed Akinleye said the party received a report of anti-party activities of Akande-Sadie by her ward 10 and the report was investigated to be true, hence the joint decision to expelled her.
Akinleye said, even though Sadipe remains a member of the House of Representatives, but the general public are to cease and desist from doing any business that has to do with the APC with her.
Also, a former Chairman, Oluyole Local Government, Hon James Adeleke said, it was so unfortunate and unexpected of the caliber of Akande-Sadipe to treat her constituents with such high level of disdain, adding that the decision to expelled her was well taken by all leaders and stakeholders at the local government.
Also, the Chairman, Ward 10, Pa Segun Akintunde said Akande-Sadipe had for long time abandoned members of APC in the ward and had been fraternising with non members of APC even at the detriment of the members of the party who supported and worked for her emergence as two term lawmaker.
Akintunde added that the lawmaker has been called and warned severally to change her ways but had been adamant, daring the leaders and members of the party.
The members of the party later put it to voice vote as all members agreed to the voice vote supporting the expulsion of the federal lawmaker from the party in Oluyole Local Government Area.
