The Executive Chairman Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi has bagged the award of the most distinguish Sports promoter in Oyo by the Sports Writer association of Nigeria, Oyo state chapter.
The chairman won the highly coveted award on Sunday at the grand finale of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN), Oyo Chapter week.
While receiving the award on behalf of OYRTMA Chairman, Mr. Olugbade Fatai, who is the Special Assistant on Media and Strategic Communications to Fagbemi expressed gratitude and appreciation towards the organizers of the award ceremony.
Fagbemi further noted that he is promoting sports in the state to complement the effort of Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi makinde in spreading the good governance to all sectors in the state.
He urged the people of the state to ensure they continue to support the government of Engineer Seyi makinde in order to enjoy the dividend of democracy.
In his remark, the chairman Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Oyo State Chapter, Comrade Niyi Alebiosu, said that the award night is a pay back time for the awardees who, he said, had put smiles on the people’s faces with their contributions to societal growth.
He further appreciated Akin Fagbemi for his unflinching supports given to journalists whenever they needed him.
