Onigboho of Igboholand, Oba John Oyetola Bolarinwa, Ajagungbade 1 has assured citizens of Oyo State, especially the people of Oke-Ogun zone that kidnapping, killing and other security challenges rocking the state would soon be a thing of the past.

Oba Bolarinwa, who stated this when he paid a thank-you visit to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1, said there had been a high-powered meeting among the traditional rulers of the Oke-Ogun region, which is the epicenter of Fulani banditry and kidnapping in the state, revealing that insecurity will be nipped in the bud across the state.

The monarch, who refused to divulge the details of the high-powered meeting owing to the sensitive nature of security, appreciated Oba Adetunji for his royal presence when he received traditional beaded crown presented to him by Governor Seyi Makinde.

While welcoming Onigboho of Igboholand to his Ibadan palace, Oba Adetunji who appreciated the monarch’s act of gratitude, prayed for his long reign and peace in Igboho, Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.

It would be recalled that Governor Makinde recently presented Onigboho of Igboholand with traditional beaded crown.

Present at the event were the wife of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Olori Rasheedat Adetunji; the spokesperson of the Olubadan, Mr. Adeola Oloko and  others palace officials. The people in the entourage of Onigboho included his two princes amongst others.

The highlight of the event was supply of traditional music by the Olubadan Palace entertainers.
