The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun has facilitated Youths and Sports Ministry empowerment for 1000 people in his district.

According to a statement signed by Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Senator, Mr. Rotimi Johnson, the distribution of the financial empowerment for Ibarapa region took place at the Primary School Teacher’s Plaza, Igboora in Ibarapa Central.

The statement said nothing less than 100 beneficiaries received payment vouchers at the event while others will receive theirs at Ibadan.

Iyaloja-General of Oyo State and the mother of the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Chief Mrs. Tina Ogundoyin encouraged the recipients on shrewdness in business and focus.

She used the opportunity to thank the Senator for the projects completed in Ibarapa region, which includes the renovated Primary School at Itabo Lanlate, the Apode-Eruwa Road, Odo-Eran Road in Igboora, Borehole at Yanko-bi-Ororo Village in Lanlate, renovation of AUD Primary School Ayete, RCM Primary School Pakoi, Igboora, financial empowerments and agricultural training for the people in the region.

Senator Balogun appreciates the Ibarapa people and affirmed: “God puts me here because of you my people, and I must do my best to serve you and by extension, God who puts me here”. He thanked the Iyaloja-General, the royal fathers present – Eleruwaof Eruwa, Olu of Igboora, Asi-Gangan of Iganganland and other traditional rulers for unending supports and encouragements.

Talking on behalf of the people of Igboora, Mr. Durowoju appreciated the Senator and the entourage on behalf of the recipients.
