The effect of the explosion that rocked Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on Tuesday night was felt by buildings and Offices within the State Secretariat Agodi Ibadan.

A visit to some of the Ministries and Parastatals by newsmen revealed severe damages caused by the devastating explosion.
Among the affected offices were the office of the Governor, Governor’s media office, Oyo State House of Assembly, Water Cooperation Building that houses other ministries, the State Secretariat Central Mosque, the Secretariat Chapel, Revenue House, and the newly built and yet to be commissioned Local Government Service House, and the Local Government Staff Training School.

Glasses were shattered on the floor, ceilings and doors were damaged while Computer Systems were also affected in some offices.
Some members of staff who could not sit in their offices due to the damage caused by the explosion were seen in groups discussing the unfortunate incident.
According to a staff of the Revenue House who pleaded anonymity, the incident was an unfortunate one. He however expressed the hope that the affected properties would soon be fixed.
