The frantic efforts of Security stakeholders to arrest perpetrators and nip in the bud incessant kidnappings along Lagos Ibadan express way has started yielding positive results.

The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security matters, CP Fatai Owoseni, (RTD) made this known while briefing news men on the outcome of a stakeholders security meeting held at the Oyo State Security Trust Fund office, Onireke Ibadan.

Addressing journalists on the outcome of a security meeting he had with some security stakeholders from Oluyole Local Government area of the state, Owoseni said the Oyo and Ogun State governments are intensifying their security architectures in order to tighten up the loopholes, having identified the kidnapping flash points within the boundaries of the two states.

Mr Owoseni also disclosed that the two states have resolved to incorporate and optimize the use of traditional institutions, the Baales, including the people that do businesses within the identified areas.

CP Owoseni (RTD) assured that the two states have reinvigorated visibility on the roads, which will deny the criminal elements of the space to operate, most especially in the yuletide period.

Also addressing newsmen, the Chairman of Oluyole Local government, Mr Olaide Settle, also expressed the readiness of the security stakeholders in Oluyole Local Government to work together and nip in the bud the incessant kidnapping and other crimes in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the traditional council of the Local Government, Baale Omi Aboderin village, Chief Olukunmi Egbelade, who said they are battle ready to rid the areas of crimes, appealed to the state government to provide the local vigilantes the necessary tools to carry out operation.

The Program was attended by Local vigilantes from Oluyole Local Government.
