As part of the activities lined up for the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of Christ the Light Gospel Church, Bishop Solomon Aremu has dedicated all the successes of the church to God.

Addressing journalists during the special programme organised to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the church on Sunday, Bishop Aremu said he could only give thanks to God for the present position of the church as it was not an easy journey.

“There was a lot of problems on the road but all these problems did not put me aside. I did not forget who called me and I was looking at the banner of Jesus Christ and today I can sing praise because He helped me all through.” The revered Bishop stated.

Advising the upcoming men of God, Bishop Aremu charged them never to deviate as Jesus is the only way.

“Any prayer that you pray, if there is no answer, God knows about it. Just wait, don’t deviate, don’t try to go and do anything contrary to the will of God because you want to become somebody, because you want to have fame. If you have fame in the world without the knowledge of God Himself, you are going to be ashamed at the end and the journey will be rough totally.

“So give your life totally to God and rely upon Him, ask for His power, He will help you to scale through the journey”. Bishop Aremu said.

Fielding questions about good governance in the country, Bishop Aremu said God has answered Nigeria’s prayer. He expressed optimism that God is going to use the President-Elect, Bola Tinubu to save Nigeria from the calamities the country is facing if people can pray.

He affirmed that Tinubu’s emergence as the winner of the 2023 presidential election was the will of God as God never makes mistakes.

He charged the President-Elect to come to the relief of Nigerians as the suffering is too much.

“He should know that God puts him there, not by his power, but for a purpose and he should not try to disappoint God and the people of this nation.” He stated.

Meanwhile, Pastor Isaiah Alade popularly called Omo Woli, who was one of the dignitaries at the anniversary, described Bishop Aremu as a wonderful man of God, teacher of word of God and a prophet. He said Bishop Aremu’s humility is worthy of emulation.

Omo Woli however advised clerics to stay in their office and operate as clerics rather than meddling in politics and politicians’ affairs. He charged them to continue praying for Nigeria.

Similarly, Pastor Samuel Samiiye commended Bishop Aremu for setting the pace for the younger generation of pastors, stressing that it is noteworthy to state that the revered Bishop has been in the vineyard of God without any scandal in the last 33 years. He described him as father of bishops

The guest speaker at the 33rd anniversary of Christ the Light Gospel Church, Prophet Odekunle Epaphras spoke on the theme: “Be Ready For The Second Coming of Jesus.”
