The President-General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole has pledged his utmost support for the National Examinations Council, South-West Directorate in its efforts to uplift the standard of education in Ibadanland and Oyo State in general.

Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole made this commitment during a courtesy visit by the examinations body to his office.

The CCII President-General who warmly welcomed the delegation from the National Examinations Council (NECO), South West Zonal Directorate led by the Director, Mrs Deborah Rukop in a visit aimed at fostering collaboration to enhance educational opportunities for the youth of Ibadan and Oyo state at the Ibadan House, Oke Aremo.

NECO, known for its role as an examination body in Nigeria engaged CCII to seek support in promoting its examinations with a particular focus on the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for junior secondary school students in Oyo State.

“We Understand and appreciate the importance CCII attach to education in shaping the future of Ibadan youth, NECO hereby seek to enlist CCII’s assistance in increasing awareness and participation in its examinations.” the Zonal Directior submitted
In response to NECO’s appeal, CCII President General reaffirmed the commitment to supporting initiatives that benefit the community, especially those related to education and further pledged to lend support to NECO’s efforts in whatever capacity necessary.

Ajewole expressed the readiness of CCII to collaborate with NECO to promote its examination awareness among parents, teachers, and students in Ibadan by leveraging his extensive network and influence within the community and the state in general in order tp empower the youth to achieve their full potential.

The President General also expressed CCII “s desire to help the body gain more recognition and acceptance from Oyo State government.
