National Coordinator, Yoruba Patriots Movement (YPM), Chief Oladosu Oladipo has disclosed that members of the movement across the world is ready to support the Yoruba Presidency in 2023.

 

Chief Oladipo stated this while answering questions from journalists at his Bodija, Ibadan residence on Wednesday.

 

The legal practitioner explained that it is expected of all Yorubas irrespective of political, religious or socio-cultural group differences to begin from now, advocating the return of the Presidency to the South West after each of the other regions has already had their fair share in the presidency.

Chief Oladipo who is also the Convener the PAN Yoruba Summit said the movement has no particular candidate of Yoruba extraction in mind but will surely support any party that is presenting a Yoruba candidate.

 

“I can face war because I’m a Yoruba man, you can’t be a good Nigeria without being a good Yoruba man.” If we really want restructuring in Nigeria, we need a good leadership which will make a difference.”

 

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his decision to honour the Pre-2015 agreement with leaders of the South West region adding that South East must also work with the South West for them to be part of the process after eight years of Yoruba Presidency.
