Commercial motor bike operators in Oyo state under the aegis of Amalgamated Commercial Tricycles and Motorcycles  Riders association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN) has dissociated itself from the recently dissolved Park Management System (PMS) and its task force, pledging to continue to conduct its businesses with respect for the rule of laws in the state.

Solomon Olugbode stated while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan over the unrest that occurred following the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee of the Park Management System by Governor Seyi Makinde.

He stated that his appeal is necessary to inform members of the public that the association is not involved in the violence that has caused property destruction urging security agents to wade into action.

Olugbode equally appealed to the Governor to grant autonomy to the association from the Park Management System (PMS)

While congratulating the Governor for a successful completion of his first term and transition to a second term, Olugbode assured that the association would fully key into the Governor’s vision for the new agency named Oyo State Mobilization Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OMASED) and take full advantage of its prospects.

Comrade Olugbode also craved the indulgence of Governor Seyi Makinde to empower their association with the responsibility of sanitizing their sector such that incidences of crime using motorbikes and tricycles abate across the state.

Expressing the association’s gratitude to those who have been instrumental to the success of ACOMORAN’s operation in the state, Olugbode thanked Otunba Seye Famojuro, Hon. Wasiu Olatunbosun,, Prof. Daud Sangodoyin, and the Speaker, Oyo State Assembly, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Adebowale Williams and other law enforcement agencies.
