Tears and tributes flowed freely on Friday in Ikotun, Lagos when remains of the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T. B. Joshua were finally laid to rest.
The interment service held at the SCOAN Headquarters.
The laying-to-rest ceremony attracted Ondo Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu; Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Commissioner for Home Affairs, Olanrewaju Elegushi; and wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Naomi Adeyeye.
Other eminent personalities who attended the event included the publisher of Ovation, Dele Momodu; International gospel singers, Shirley Murdock and Byron Cage among others.
T. B. Joshua was popular in many African countries, and in South America where he had held many religious crusades.
The preacher was noted for making predictions and for his claims to cure various ailments and to make people prosper through miracles.
In a statement, President Muhammadu Buhari said, “he will not only be remembered for his spiritual contributions, but for touching many lives through philanthropic gestures.”
It would be recalled that the millionaire pastor died on 5th of June, 2021 at the age of 57, about a week before his birthday.
