An Ibadan born leading Fuji Musician in Nigeria, Alhaji Adebisi Taiye Currency on Friday, hosted members of Ibadan Mega Voice in his residence at the Oluyole Estate, Ibadan.
Taye Currency, a renowned Nigerian musician, is known for his contributions to the Fuji and Afrobeats genres.
Alh Adebisi while receiving the IMV members said: “As a true son of Ibadanland in the music industry, my gesture to host Ibadan Mega Voice members was to showcase my true commitment to supporting the growth and development of Ibadan as a whole”, Taye Currency explained.
He expressed his readiness to support any group, organization or association that is dedicated to developing Ibadan.
He said Ibadan has produced many talents in different facets of professions.
The Ace musician expressed his pride in the IMV’s efforts to celebrate Ibadan’s legacy and extended his full support for their upcoming second-anniversary celebration.
He praised the group’s commitment to unity, admonishing members to stay true to the values of truthfulness and solidarity in their work.
Alh. Taye Currency expressed his happiness and readiness to accept the Award at the Grand Finale of the Second Anniversary Celebrations of Ibadan Mega Voice on 24th November at Ibadan House, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
According to him, Ibadan is a significant urban center, known for its first and rich cultural heritage, economic importance, and historical landmarks.
“Let me felicitate you on the celebration of your second anniversary, I’m happy to be part of you.
Please let all hands be on deck to take this great city to a greater height”, Taye Currency submitted.
Earlier, the President of the Ibadan Mega Voice, Aare Kola Olomide, expressed deep gratitude to Alhaji Taiye Currency for hosting his members and pledging unalloyed support, saying that he is one of the “pillars of Ibadan and a key figure behind the peace the city enjoys.”
He said Ibadan Mega Voice is an association of Ibadan Indigenes in the communication industry, covering Print, Electronics and Online media, Public Relations, Advertising, Theatre, Printing, Music and Publishing.
Olomide acknowledged his commitment and contributions to the progress of Ibadan, adding he has been penciled down to receive the Most Outstanding Ibadan Musician of the Year Award from Ibadan Mega Voice.
