National Chairman of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Dr. Yunusa Tanko has called on Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele to humbly resign and focus on his political ambition.
The party in a statement by Omole Olusegun, Special Assistant to its National Chairman, Dr. Yunusa Tanko said Emefiele’s refusal to address the viral video circulating on social media shows Emefiele’s plan to succeed President Buhari in 2023.
Dr. Tanko also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack Emefiele.
“Godwin Emefiele campaign video as been circulating round the social media for more than two weeks now and he has not in any way denied the videos.
“Just last Thursday, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwolu backed out of Emefiele Project 2023.
“We therefore call on President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency sack Mr. Godwin Emefiele to allow him focus on his Presidential ambition.
“We also call on well-meaning Nigerians to vote competency, a stabilizer, a man of empathy and do away with ethnic and religious sentiments. It is important to note that we stand on the part of equity, fairness and justice. We urge Nigerians to keep hope alive.” He stated.
Dr. Tanko charged all Nigerians to go and get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC),stressing that their vote is there right.
