In continuation of its training programme for the workforce, the Oyo State Housing Corporation today kickstarted training workshop for junior workers.
According to a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Barrister Kunle Sanni, the two-day exercise was aimed at bringing out the best out of the officers who fall between levels one and six.
The statement said the theme of the training workshop is “Innovative Approaches To Aid Housing Development In Oyo State.”
Declaring the training open, the Chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation, Barrister Bayo Lawal described the category of workers being trained as the most important in any organization.
According to him, they are the base of any organization which must be solid, otherwise the structure at the top would collapse. Barrister Lawal noted that the corporation needed to be rejuvenated to keep faith with the dreams of the founding fathers.
While drawing the attention of the participants to the stiff competition in the industry, the chairman promised to motivate the entire workforce for maximum productivity.
In his goodwill message, an expert in Urban and Regional Planning, Emeritus Professor Layi Egunjobi said the training became inevitable in view of dynamic world, stressing that the training would fully equip participants technically, attitudinally and behaviourally to move the corporation forward.
