The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Bayo Lawal on Friday applauded the federal government over critical approach to solving down insecurity in the country.

Barr. Lawal, who said this at the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat Ibadan, stated that the efforts of both the federal and state governments have helped to reduce Insecurity, banditry, brigandage, kidnapping and insurgency in the country.
The Deputy Governor added that there is a need to care for the needs of maimed soldiers, their widows, children and other dependants and sensitization for pathetic plight of the fallen heroes.
Barr. Lawal, who donated a sum of three million naira to the families of fallen heroes, appealed to industrialists, commercial firms, organisations, philanthropists and all individuals to donate generously to the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem Appeal Week Fund for support of the disabled and the less-privileged.
Armed Forces Remembrance Day is celebrated annually in commemoration of fallen heroes every 15th January.
