Members of the different warring groups in the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday met in Ibadan in what could be described as reconciliatory move in preparation for the 2023 General election.

The meeting, which held at a popular hotel in Ibadan, had in attendance party members from different groups including Lamists, SENACO, Unity forum, amongst others to deliberate on how to resolve the internal crisis of the  progressive members.

While addressing members in attendance, some of the party leaders who appreciated Mrs. FLORENCE AJIMOBI, the widow of the immediate past governor of Oyo State, Late Abiola Ajimobi for her role in bringing everybody together, called for unity and love in order to win the Agodi Government House race in 2023.

They all pledged to give peace a chance in order to actualise their dream of showing the incumbent SEYI MAKINDE-led PDP government out of the Agodi Government House in 2023.

Honourable Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye expressed gratitude that all factions are able to come together as one big and indivisible family, adding that the is no fight in the rank and files of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Moses Alake-Adeyemo urged all members present at the meeting to go back to their local government and reconcile all aggrieved party members to ensure that no one is left out of the reconciliatory process.

In the communique signed by Chief Kunle Sanda and Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi as co-Chairmen and Professor Adeolu Akande and Honourable Gbenga Ariba as co-Secretaries respectively at the end of the meeting, they resolved to sustain the legacies of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Bola Ige, Alhaji Lam Adesina and Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

They also pledged to work assiduously for the victory of the party at all levels in the 2023 general elections while affirming their continued loyalty and support for President Muhamadu Buhari and his government. They also urged all Nigerians to pray for the country in these trying times.

Some of the party leaders present at the meeting include Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi, Chief Moses Adeyemo, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Senator Ayoade Adeseun, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Professor Adeolu Akande and Honourable Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye amongst others.
