Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Oyo State chapter has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Nigeria Immigration Service to vacate their premises across the 33 Local Government Areas in the state over assault on a council boss.

The ultimatum was issued by ALGON Chairman in the state, Hon. Sikiru Sanda during a press briefing held in Ibadan North Local Government Area.

Speaking on behalf of the executive chairmen, Hon. Sanda said the directive was in reaction to the recent unprovoked assault, harassment and molestation of their colleague, the Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government Area, Hon. Sahib Yusuff.

The Chairman of ALGON who is also the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area called on the Comptroller-General of Immigration to properly investigate the incident and sanction erring officers as well as offer unreserved apology to the council boss otherwise the association might be forced to initiate legal actions.

The victim and Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government Area, Hon. Yusuff while explaining the incident, insisted that he had done nothing to warrant the assault, claiming to have peacefully gone to clear some administrative issues at the immigration office successfully before the molestation ensued and would have gone escalated but for his concern for peace as championed by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
