In a bid to ensure a peaceful co-existence among Yoruba leaders ahead of the 2023 general elections, reports emerged today that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi met with the Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola on ways to end his rift between him and the 2023 Presidential hopeful, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Monarchs reportedly met with Aregbesola in one of the private residences of the Oyo monarch in Ibadan, the State capital.
According to sources close to the Palace, the reconciliation moves is going on well and as intended, and both parties have shown interest to put their differences aside and move ahead in the interest of all, Osun and Yorubaland.
Earlier, Newsmen had reported that concerned stakeholders in Yorubaland within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and some influential leaders of thought have waded in and are already exploring ways to broker peace between the two prominent Yoruba sons.
Reports say that all well-meaning individuals across political and religious circuits have called on Tinubu and Aregbesola to tow the path of peace and reconcile in the overall interest of all.
It appears that these calls are beginning to yield positive results with the involvement of these high ranking Monarchs and the attendance of the meeting by Aregbesola.
As things unfold, it appears that the needed peace and harmony is beginning to return to the progressive fold and the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the South-West.
