As party of activities marking Oke-Odo Day 2023, Oke-Odo Club is set to honour prominent Ibadan sons and daughters with distinguished awards of excellence on Saturday 28th October, 2023 at the Ibadan House, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan.
President of the club, Architect Kola Olawale in a statement on Wednesday said club will also launch its ₦250m appeal funds for the completion of it’s club house on D-day.
Architect Kola Olawale said the day will also feature investiture of patron and matron of the club while honouring friends of the club too.
According to the statement, Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Mohood Olalekan Alli Okunmade II will be the Royal Father of the day, while Architect Bamidele Olusegun Samson of BOVAS Company Limited will chair the occasion.
The statement also said Governor Seyi Makinde will be Special Guest of Honour while wife of former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Mutiat Ladoja who also doubles as Maye Iyalode-Olubadan of Ibadanland will be mother of the day, alongside former Governor of the Oyo State, Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo as the father of the day.
Other dignitaries expected at the event include the Chairman of Oluyole Traditional Council, Oba Hamidu Ajibade, Oba Muritala Olumini, Alayunre of Idi – Ayunre In Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The event will be co-hosted by the president of the club, Architect Kola Olawale and the President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Barr Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole.
