The Nigerian Army, 2 Division, Odoogbo Cantonment, Ojoo, Ibadan has paraded and handed over two suspected rail tracks vandals at its headquarters today.

The suspects were Agbai Godwin, male and Mrs Sakirat Oladipo, Female.

While parading the suspects on behalf of the Commander, 2 Povost Group, 2 Div, Ibadan, Col. Reuben Apata, the Deputy Commander, 2 Provost Group, 2 Div Army, Major Benjamin Gambo said the real suspects were Agbai Godwin and the other at large while the female among were the scrap buyer, that the stolen items were sold to.

Col Apata explained that the suspects were arrested during the troops perimeter fence patrol at Letmuck Cantonment, Mokola, Ibadan, based on an intelligence gathered on the nefarious activities of the criminals.

While taking over the suspects after being paraded by the 2 Div Army, Ibadan on behalf of the Oyo State Commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Michael Adarralewa, the Deputy Commandant of the Corps and Head of the An Intelligence and Investigations, Mr Olusoji Akingbade said the thorough investigations will commence on the suspects for necessary prosecutions.

Mr Adaralewa however promised continual synergies with the Nigerian Army and other security agents in the country for the peace and stability in the state and country in general.

As at the time of filing-in the report, the suspects were already in the custody of the Oyo NSCDC Command that is in-charge of the crime being committed.
