In recognition of his creativity and music dexterity, most especially in promotion of the black race cultural heritage, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has gifted a brand new Prado Jeep to an Ibadan-born music icon, King Saheed Osupa.
The State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun presented the gift to King Saheed Osupa on behalf of Governor Makinde at the premises of the Presidential Lodge, Government House, Agodi Ibadan.
Presenting the gift on behalf of the Oyo State Governor to King Saheed Osupa, Olatunbosun said Governor Makinde would continue to recognize hard work in any field, adding that Osupa has proved himself to be Culture Ambassador who has continued to promote the Yoruba Cultural Heritage in his music which has attained global recognition.
In his response, Saheed Osupa appreciated the magnanimity of Governor Makinde, saying that the gesture would further motivate him to give the best in his chosen career.
The short event was attended by Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Kehinde Sangodoyin and some political stalwarts of Governor Seyi Makinde.
