Following the directives of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to deploy 200 Amotekun Operatives to Ibarapa/Oke-Ogun zones to bring end to banditry, kidnappings and terrorism, the operatives of the security outfit have arrived Ibarapa and Oke- Ogun zones in readiness for the operations.
While addressing the Amotekun operatives, the commandant of Oyo State Security Agency and Amotekun Operations, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) charged the officers to be of good conduct and not to forget the rules of engagement so as to bring lasting solutions to security challenges in the area in particular and the entire state in general.
Col. Olayanju admonished the operatives to embrace professionalism and be worthy ambassadors of the outfit, appreciating the entire Amotekun operatives for their achievements since inception.
The Commandant asked all stakeholders in each local government for support and cooperation through security intelligence and other relevant materials that will ease their operations and bring end to crime in the state.
Responding, the representative of Vigilante and local hunters expressed their readiness to support Amotekun when called upon.
Present at the the flagging off of the operation were the Chairman and Secretary Ibarapa North Local Government, Ayete and their entourage among others.
