Ibadan Mega Voice (IMV), a body of renowned Ibadan indigenes who are into professional media practice, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Governor Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary, Pastor Sulaiman Olanrewaju.

Olanrewaju, who welcomed members of IMV in his office, appreciate the initiative behind creation of the indigenous body of media professionals.

He appealed to IMV members to always project government policies and programmes, while urging them to always call the attention of government to anything they feel government should take prompt actions on.

“I am just a voice here working for the success of the Makinde-led administration, but with the support and collaboration of your body, I am a mega voice and whatever we project together will catch the attention of the general public.” Olanrewaju said.

Earlier in his remarks, IMV president, Ààrẹ Kọ́lá Olomide said IMV, as a stakeholder in Oyo State project will continue to lend its voice on important issues and government policies without being biased at any time.

He promised that IMV will always be on the side of the truth at all times and set agenda for the government, while serving as the bridge linking the government to the governed and vice versa.

Ààrẹ Olomide said IMV will always engage government and its agents on constructive criticism of government policies. He appealed to the state government to always see IMV as partner in progress whenever it criticises government policies, stressing that no good citizen or future leaders will fold their arms and keep quiet when it matters to raise their voice and be heard.

It would be recalled that Ibadan Mega Voice had in the past criticised, commended and lent its voice to many government policies and activities.

IMV members led by their president to the CPS office on courtesy visit included the Vice President, Mr. Tunji Aborisade, the Financial Secretary/Treasurer, Mr. Abdur-Razak Abdul-Ganeey, Mr Adewole Double ‘A’, Mrs Feyisetan Hamzaah, Honourable Ademola Solalu and the Secretary, Mr. Oladapo Ibikunle among many others.
