Oyo State House of Assembly member-elect for Oluyole State Constituency, Hon. Waheed Akintayo, popularly known as Ilumoka Presenter has registered his appreciation once again to the people of Oluyole for re-electing Governor Seyi Makinde and also for electing him in the last governorship and state assembly election.
It would be recalled that a press release made available to the public by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Oyo State, dated 12th April 2023, the resident electoral commissioner in the state, Dr. Adeniran Rahman Tella said INEC Oyo State would conduct supplementary elections in Oluyole and Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East federal constituencies in the state on Saturday,15th April 2023.
In a statement he personally signed, Hon. Waheed Akintayo said:
“We must continue to show resilience in the defence of our democracy and in the exercise of our right to vote.
“I implore the good people of Oluyole federal constituency to come out en masse and vote on Saturday, April 15, 2023 for the PDP candidate, Hon. Olawale Mogbonjubola, popularly called Jagaban, in the Oluyole federal constituency supplementary election in the two affected polling units, Abbey Technical (RA02/U001) and IDC School Olurinde (RA07/U001.
“I urge you to cast your votes peacefully and in strict compliance with the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines. And after casting your votes, be vigilant and protect those votes.” Akintayo stated.
