Early morning inferno has razed one of the houses belonging to Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho in Ibadan.

The fire outbreak which reportedly occurred in the early hours of Tuesday shortly after electricity supply of the area was taken off, damaged parts of the property.

Residents of the area said nobody sustained injury, but valuables worth millions of naira were said to have been destroyed by the inferno.

The fire incident occurred few hours after the meeting of the Nigeria Governors Forum with Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) held in Akure, the Ondo State capital following the quit notice  given to  Fulani herdsmen illegally occupying Ondo State Forest Reserves and the ultimatum given to kidnapper herdsmen in Igangan by Sunday Igboho.

Men of the Oyo State Fire Service reportedly arrived the scene to extinguish the inferno few hours later.

Newsmen were unable to get Sunday Igboho’s reaction as at the time of filing this report.
