Justice Adelabu O. V. of Moniya Majistrate Court has remanded one Isiaka Adebunmi charged under section 419 of criminal code of Oyo State.

60-year-old Adebunmi, who was once a Councillor and also Vice Chairmanship candidate in Akinyele Local Government Area in the recently conducted local government election, was involved in a case of land grabbing.
It would be recalled that cases of fraudulent acts of land grabbing is very rampant in Akinyele Local Government Area as it was discovered that Baales, royal fathers and top politician are not left out in the shady acts.
This particular case involves a village Baale as he is a witness in the land agreement.
However, Justice Adelabu gave the defendant, Isiaka Adebunmi bail conditions of paying one million Naira, providing two sureties with landed properties, National Identification Number (NIN) and a blood relation, or be remanded in Agodi prison.
The Investigative Police Officer, Inspector Adewale Alafe dragged the defendant before the court following the official report by the complainant, Mr. Aderinto Moruf Adetunji, accusing Adebunmi of grabbing his land located at Agbagi.
Adetunji claimed that he purchased the land in 2018.
The hearing of the case, which involved piece of land measuring up to 10 acres was adjourned to 29th of July 2024.
