The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) under the ledeership of her President-General, Barr. Ajeniyi Ajewole has inaugurated 2024 Ibadan Cultural Festival Planning Committee on Friday, 3rd November, 2023.
While inaugurating the committee saddled with planning of 2024 Ibadan Cultural Festival, the President-General charged the member to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities and ensure a hitch-free festival.
Barr. Ajewole, who urged them to work in unity in order to achieve the set goals placed before the committee, stated this during the Monthly General Assembly Meeting of the CCII.
The newly inaugurated committee members include the followings:
Balogun Gaphar Ojetola – Chairman of the Committee
Dr. Mrs Ayo Alaga – Vice Chairman of the Committe
Engr. Musa Akere – Secretary of the Committee. Other members of the committee are also inaugurated.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman of the committee, who was unavoidably absent at the inauguration but represented by his vice, promised to deliver the purpose of the committee to the end.
Ibadan Cultural Festival is a brainchild of the CCII and it come up annually to showcase Ibadan customs and tradition from across different family compounds and villages. It is full of different activities to project Ibadan to the world.
