The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) has felicitated Oba (Senator) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, former Governor of Oyo State, as he celebrates his 80th birthday.

This is contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan by the President-General of CCII, Chief (Barr) Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole

Chief Ajewole extolled Ladoja’s virtues, his outstanding contributions to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, describing him as a true elder statesman, an accomplished politician and a unifying factor.

The statement reads:

“As you celebrate your 80th birthday, Kabiyesi, I, Chief Sulaimon Ajeniyi Ajewole, President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), am profoundly honoured to pay tribute to a man whose life has been dedicated to the service of our people. Your remarkable contributions to Ibadanland and Oyo State as a former governor, a high chief and now as a revered Oba, have left an indelible mark on our society.

“During your tenure as governor, you spearheaded unparalleled growth and development, positioning Oyo State as a beacon of progress. Your wisdom, integrity, and deep sense of responsibility continue to serve as guiding lights for all of us. As a High Chief and now an Ọba, you remain a strong pillar of culture and tradition, uniting the people of Ibadan through your exemplary leadership.

“On behalf of the entire CCII, I celebrate your extraordinary life. We pray for your continued strength, health and wisdom as you lead us into greater prosperity. Happy 80th birthday, Kabiyesi! May your birthdate celebrations bring peace and lasting progress to everyone around you, Ibadanland and its people.”
