The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria, MMPN Oyo State chapter has rejoiced with Muslims and indeed Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha.

This is just as Oyo MMPN tasks the Muslims not to jettison the great teachings and lessons of the life and times of Prophet Ibrahim.
The felicitation was contained in a statement issued by the Chairman MMPN, Oyo State chapter Alh Adebayo Abdur-Rofih in Ibadan.
The statement said Ileya festival is always an opportunity for Muslims to rejoice and enjoy themselves as well as to reach out to their brothers and sisters and the less privileged in terms of provisions and food.
“Eil-d-Mubarak to everyone of us in the MMPN. Big congratulations to all members of the Muslim Media Practitioners in Oyo State, and others across the country on this Sallah festival. It is a period for us to bring to practical demonstration the story revolving around the life of our forefather, Prophet Ibrahim. It is equally a time to show gratitude to Allah for His abundant love and kindness to humanity which reflected in the replacement of Prophet Ismael with a ram. What would have become of people like us if Prophet Ibrahim had gone ahead to slaughter his son? ”
“We urged the believing Muslims to emulate Prophet Ibrahim. Be strong and firm in their faith and believe in Allah who has promised to test each and everyone of his creation. ” Alh Adebayo Abdur-Rofih said.”
The statement further urged its members and the entire Ummah to continue to bask in the euphoria of the celebration which is a blessing from Allah.
Oyo MMPN Chairman used the occasion to pray to Allah to ease the political, social and economic problems facing the nation.
Alh Abdur-Rofih appealed to Nigerians not to despair, adding that Prophet Ibrahim never lost hope despite the myriads of challenges he faced.
“There’s no doubt that many Nigerians are suffering, hence everyone must be persistent in calling Him for a better and secured nation.” He concluded.
