The Ibadan City Academy Old Students’ Association (ICAOSA) has commended the Federal Government and the Oyo State Government for the synergies that culminated in the successful rescue of the abducted teachers and pupils in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In a statement issued by the President-General, Aderemi Bello and signed by the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Adegoke Oladipo, the association commended the gallantry, professionalism and resilience of the security operatives whose coordinated efforts led to safe rescue of the victims and arrest of eight suspected kidnappers during the operation.
The association described the feat as a testament to the commitment of the nation’s security agencies to protecting lives and restoring public confidence.
While celebrating the successful rescue, ICAOSA urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, security-conscious and to support security agencies by promptly reporting suspicious activities within their communities.
ICAOSA emphasized that ensuring the safety of lives and property is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of all citizens.
It also rejoices with the rescued victims and their families, while expressing gratitude that they have been reunited with their loved ones.
The association also extends its deepest condolences to the families of the teacher and the security personnel who paid the supreme prices during the period of captivity, adding that their courage and service to humanity will always be remembered.
ICAOSA prayed that Almighty God will grant them eternal rest and comfort their families during this difficult time.
