Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde described the life and time of late Mrs. Janet Kikelomo Oladeji (JP), mother of former member of Oyo the Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Olawumi Bimbo Oladeji, as a good Christian life worthy of emulation.

The governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Public Works, Professor Dawud Sangodoyin, also appreciated the contribution of the deceased to christiandom when she was alive.
“The message of His Excellency is that Mama Kikelomo Oladeji lived a good live that everyone of us should emulate. She trained the children, as you can see that the children of Mama have made it in life.
“We should also know that we must train our children so that when we are no more, they will sustain whatever we live for.” Shangodoyin stated.
Mama Janet Kikelomo Oladeji, JP, Nee Amao-Alata died on 28th of February, 2024 at the age of 83 during a brief illness.
Speaking about her mother, Honourable Olawumi Bimbo Oladeji, who could not hide her emotions, appreciated people’s support before and after Mama’s departure.


“If there is anyone we could say love other people’s children more than her own children, it was Maami.” Honourable Oladeji stated.
She promised to sustain the legacy Mama Oladeji left behind.
Also talking to journalists shortly after church special service for the deceased, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, representing Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives said Mama Oladeji lived a love-riched life with kindness to her family and the community at large.
Many community leaders painted a glorious tribute to Mama Oladeji, describing her as a true Christian who loved clergymen and loved to serve in the body of Christ.
They all said that her memory would continue to linger on for a very long time.
Earlier in his sermon, Reverend Ola Ajadi of Salem Baptist Church, Gaa-Masifa area, Ogbomoso told the congregation that life is short, while admonishing people to live impactful life and also stressing that death is inevitable regardless of one’s achievements in this life.
He said death marks one’s transition into a new journey into eternity. Taking his homily from different parts of the scripture, the clergyman said death may come when one least expect it.
He urged the congregation to live a good life as, according to him, the day of judgement is certain.
“Death is an inevitable end to every living thing and everybody is a sojourner on the surface of the earth.” The reverend stated.
Notable dignitaries at the event include the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Professor Deji Omole, LAUTECH Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rasaq Olatunde, Professor Ajiboye.
Others are Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, Executive Assistant to Oyo State Governor on Project Monitoring, Muftaudeen Open Salawu, Hon. George Ogunlade, Dr. Samson Adegoke Maigida, present and past members of the Oyo State House of Assembly and Baale Masifa among many others.
