All the intending pilgrims from Oyo State have been urged to hurry up and pay the stipulated money in order to meet up with performing this year’s Hajj.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), Sheikh Hazeem Atere stated this on Monday, February 5th at the Olodo Hajj Camp while addressing the intending pilgrims.
Sheikh Atere said the the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has said the total fee for this year’s Hajj is four million, eight hundred and ninety-nine thousand naira (₦4.899,000) for the all the states in the Southern part of Nigeria which Oyo State is one of them.
Sheik Atere admonished those who intend to perform this year’s Hajj with Oyo State to quickly pay ₦4.899,000 while urging those that have deposited ₦4.5million Naira before to quickly balance up in order to make preparations easy for the board.
Recently while featuring on a live radio programme in Ibadan, Sheik Atere said Oyo State has perfected plans to make this year’s Hajj very convenient for all intending pilgrims from the state.
He said part of the plan is to ensure that Oyo pilgrims have access to their local foods throughout the Hajj period, adding that the state was able to secure both hotel rooms and kitchen that are very close the city in Saudi Arabia as this will go a long way to entrench convenience throughout their stay in the Arabian Kingdom.
Reacting to questions bothering on the Board’s preparation for medical care of the intending pilgrims, Sheik Atere said all intending pilgrims will be examined medically and vaccinated before they will be allowed to travel with Oyo State. He stressed that the medical team will be on standby throughout the Hajj activities to cater for Oyo pilgrims.
He appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for his supports and prompt responses to the Board’s requests all the times.
