Oke-Odo Club has commended Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu over the recent visit to his hometown, Ibadanland after swearing-in as the minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The President of the club, Architect Kola Olawale expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu on the choice of Adelabu from Oyo State, expressing confidence in the minister’s capacity to deliver the power sector. He also congratulated the minister on his appointment.

The club however urged the minister not to forget his background, charging him to make sure that his time in the power sector is a migration from the norm and restore the power generation in the country.

Architect Olawale reminded him of the importance of power sector to the economic sustainability of the country, stressing that many sectors depend on power to thrive.

He called on the minister to always be steps ahead of the cabals in power sector if he wants to record any success during his tenure.

He prayed that God will strengthen him to surmount the challenges and adversaries in his new office, adding that the whole Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria in general will throw their support behind him to achieve the desired goals.

Meanwhile, the Oke-Odo Club reminded the minister of their forthcoming congress which will come up on Saturday 28th October, 2023 at Bode Amao Hall in Ibadan House, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, while extending the invitation to him.
