The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has won an award of distinguished Local Government Chairman in Nigeria.
The award was presented by Rootswatch Magazine on Thursday at National Merit House, Maitama Abuja.
The award recognizes the outstanding accomplishment and contributions of Hon. Adeojo on meaningful developmental projects executed for the benefit of his people at the grassroots.
Hon. Adeojo thereby dedicated the award to Almighty God, his immediate family, the Ido LG PDP family, the good people of Ido LG and most especially the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for the kind of leadership he demonstrated at the state level in which he emulates.
The Council Boss seized the opportunity to express his sincere appreciation to all residents of Ido Local Government for their support so far and to solicit continuous support to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
In his address, Chief Bayode Ojo, the Chief Editor of Rootswatch magazine and National Coordinator of distinguished Local Government chairmen merit award said all the chairmen being unveiled for the conferment of the award have passed the litmus test of accountable leadership.
The statement signed by the Head of Information Unit in Ido Local Government, Folashade Oduola, said the Chairman was accompanied by his darling wife, Mrs. Ifedolapo Adeojo.
