The Acting Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal has reprimanded the contractor handling the construction of Second Onipepeye Under Pass Road for delay in delivery, saying that the contract may be terminated if the contractor does not expedite action.

The Acting Governor expressed dissatisfaction during an inspection tour of the project on Friday afternoon.
After assessing the level of work done so far at the second Onipepeye Under Pass Road, the State Acting Governor engaged the contractor handling the project in conversation, and he bemoaned the delay which he said has wrecked havoc and affected business activities in the axis.
Speaking with newsmen, the Acting Governor criticized the contractor for reneging on the contractual agreement between the state and his company, despite the fact that the state had fulfilled its own commitment.
While charging the contractor to get the work done accordingly, he however gave him a deadline of next Wednesday to synergize with the state Ministry of Transport and Public Works on how the state of the project could be improved.
The State Commissioner for Transport and Public Works, Professor Daud Sangodoyin was in company of the Acting Governor during the inspection tour.
