Olubadan Designate, Dr. Lekan Balogun has picked a title as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland, The Nation can report authoritatively.
Balogun, whose name will be announced today by Governor Seyi Makinde, will be the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland .
Newsmen gathered from sources that the incoming monarch has adopted the royal nomenclature of Ali Okunmade 2. His full name and title will be Oba Sen. (Dr.) Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun-Ali-Iwo (Ali Okunmade 2).
Balogun’s royal title evolved from his family compound name Ali-Iwo. He will be the second monarch produced by the family.
Meanwhile, Balogun’s house is wearing a new look ahead of formal announcement of his name and coronation.
When newsmen visited the place on Sunday, the house has worn a new look, as it has been repainted. Well-wishers, groups and associations are still thronging the residence to felicitate him.
