His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1) has urged the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Health to resuscitate the health facilities in University Teaching Hospital UCH) to the world class standard.
The appeal was contained in the press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga during the Courtesy Visit jointly paid by the Ministers of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy Mr Taiwo Oyedele and the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Professor Muhamma Ali Pate respectfully
“I am worried about the present precarious situations of heath facilities in the University Teaching Hospital which has lost its old glory” the paramount ruler expressed his mind
“Apart from shortage of heath facilities, there is also acute shortage of medical personnel, adding that urgent action must be taking to arrest the situation, however, I commend the efforts of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu for bringing back the lost glory of the hospital
Earlier in their remarks to the two Ministers of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Mr Taiwo Oyedele as well as the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Professor Muhammad Ali appreciated the warm reception accorded them and the members of their entourage during their visit to Olubadan palace
They disclosed that they were in Ibadan to commission the newly built world class diagnostic center in the UCH, Ibadan
They assured Kabiyesi that all his requests will be noted for the attention of the Federal Government in due course
