As part of sustained efforts to reinforce security across Oyo State, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, commenced his operational tour of duty on Monday, covering all Area Commands within the Command.

So far, the 49th Commissioner of Police has engaged with a wide range of critical stakeholders, including traditional rulers, community leaders, and representatives of diverse interest groups. These engagements have provided a valuable platform to listen to their concerns, assess their perspectives on the prevailing security situation, and evaluate measures already in place to prevent security breaches while strengthening the Command’s collective resolve to safeguard lives and property.
The operational tour has also featured strategic meetings with commanders of sister security and partner agencies to further enhance inter-agency collaboration, boost operational morale, and consolidate the existing synergy among organizations with complementary security responsibilities.
The Commissioner equally interacted with local vigilante groups and other community-based volunteers, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to grassroots security and reaffirming the Command’s commitment to a collaborative approach to policing.
